• Administer medicine to the mother& child.

• Promote exercise, including ante-natal & post natal exercise, rest & sleep.

• supervise over and maintain the supply of oxygen to the mother & child.

• Promote breastfeeding.

• Facilitate communication by & with the mother & father in the execution of midwifery regimen.

• Provide an effective advocacy to enable the mother & child to obtain the health care they need.

• Supervise over & maintain the fluid, electrolyte & acid base balance of the mother & child.

• Facilitate the healing wounds, the protection of the skin & the maintenance of sensory function in the mother & child.

Enrolled Nurses that:

• Carry out nursing care to fulfill the health needs of the patient.

• Care for a patient & execute a nursing care plan for a patient, including the monitoring of vital signs & the observation of reactions to medication & treatment.

• Prevent disease and promote health & family planning by means of information to the patient.

• Promote & maintain hygiene, Physical comfort & reassurance of a patient.

• Prevent physical deformity & other complications in a patient.

• Supervise over & maintain the supply of oxygen to a patient.

• Supervise over and maintain the feeding & the fluid balance of a patient.

• Preparation for & assistance with surgical procedures & anesthetic.
